It`s a very effective media to explain your internal feeling and expression .



A landscape in watercolours is a joy to see for almost everyone.This,to my mind,is due to freshness and spontaneity that water colours exude-the flowing colours simply grab our attention in such a that no other medium can.



My love affair with watercolours gose back right up to my teenage.even as a schoolboy I could get to see watercolour landscapes of british & American masters trough various books and magazines.I remember being enchanted by the simple beauty,delicate shades and natural freshness of Edward Wesson and Jhon Pike,to mention just two of the greats.



Come weekend,and invariably,my friend and myself cycled in all around Banaras(Varanasi) on sketching or panting expenditions.while scouting for spots,all of a sudden,something –say a violet-blue hill rangein the distance,or apeculiar formation of clouds would catch our attention.



I realy love the watercolours as amedium-here I work fast to achieve the desired result.this painting style can happly keeppace with the speed of the artist`s thought vying for expression .



Thisnaturaly adds that touch of spontaneity to the picture.As Wellium Wordsworth has said of poetry-“spontaneous overflow of powerful feelings”,so it applies to the art of painting also.this `spontaneous overflow, is easily attained through the watercolours.



My paintings often have old wadas, ruins, houses and such scenes of every day life show up through them to such an exent,that a frequently asked question by vievers is:How come we never noticed this, though we pass by daily?
